Special Conditions till Covid -19

  • Tournaments will be conducted for the 3 days only for Singles.
  • Singles draw size will be of 32. Doubles is not allowed.
  • Age Group of U/12, U/14 and U/16 for tournament is allowed.
  • There will be no interstate travel.
  • Inter District travel is allowed only where the State allows Inter District movements.
  • State Secretary will be responsible for all decisions regarding whether to allow participation according to State Government rules.
  • SOPs has to be strictly followed at the tournament venue.
  • Only one age group will be allowed to be played in one venue at a time.

Match Format in Tournaments:

Talent and Championship series (3 Days)

Only Main Draw Singles of 32 will be made without Qualifying Draw for 3 days tournaments, which will be made after the sign in which closes on one day before the tournament start date at 14:00 Hrs. Matches will start on any date and to be completed in three days. In these tournaments, each player may be asked to play up to a maximum of two matches in a day.

Singles Format:
Upto QF – Best of 15 Games. – At 7 all, the Tie Breaker will apply.
QF & SF – Best of 17 Games. At 8 all, the Tie Breaker will apply.
Final – Best of three sets.
(There will be no change in the tournament courts except Finals.)

No. of Rounds:
Day 1 – Round of 32 and Round of 16
Day 2 – Quarter Finals and Semi Finals
Day 3 – Finals

NO LET rule in service will be followed. It means if the service hits the top of the net and falls in the correct service box the point will continue. A State will have to conduct a CS tournament after conducting 6 TS in that State (this will be calculated combined of all age groups) 

Entry System and Sign in:

There will be no requirement to send entries. Sign in will be a day before the start of the tournament between 1200 & 1400 Hrs at the venue. Draw to be made and displayed before 18:00 Hrs on the sign day itself. WhatsApp / Email may be used for Sign in. However, if a player has done a sign in and does not appear for his match he/she will be fined Rs 1,000 + 180 (18% GST) = Rs 1,180.

Please note that entry fees will not refunded back if the player do not show up for the match.

Entry Fees:

  • Talent Series (3 Days) – Rs 200/-
  • Championship Series (3 Days) – Rs 300/-

Daily Allowance:

  • Talent Series (3 Days) – NA
  • Championship Series (3 Days) – Rs 400/-

The tournament application should be forwarded by the State Association for each age group of tournament:-

  • Talent Series (3 Days) - Rs 2,500 + GST (currently 18%)
  • Championship Series (3 Days) – Rs 3,500 + GST (currently 18%)

Rest of the AITA Juniors Rules and Regulations 2020 which are in force w.e.f from 1 Jan 2020 will be followed.
